The Full Count Big Band, a professional arm of the New Jersey Workshop for the Arts (NJWA), is an 18 piece big-band consisting of sax, trombone, trumpet and rhythm sections. Under the musical direction of Ken Fink, this dynamic band plays many styles of jazz. Full Count plays a full range of big band styles, including the nostalgic musical style popular in the 1940s and the modern jazz styles popularized by the likes of Maynard Fergusn and Buddy Rich. Full Count also plays the classic big band styles of Ellington and Basie. To appeal to the younger crowd, they also play the modern funk and jazz rock numbers. Full Count is available for concerts including those targeting a specific era. They are available for Street Fairs, private parties, swing dances, weddings, and society and corporate functions.
