Unleash your creativity at this legendary Westfield, NJ day camp, now in its 52nd year! Kids ages 4 and up can discover musical instruments, arts and crafts, creative movement and much more. Immerse yourself in a well-rounded arts curriculum for younger kids, or join one of our specialty camps for older artists. There’s something for everyone!

All camps run from 8:30 am – 12:30 pm.

I’m a busy parent – are there afternoon options too?
YES! The Summer Arts Workshop offers extended afternoon care and early-morning drop-off, too. 3/5 update – call first for availability for afternoon coverage. Morning camp available – afternoon options may be at capacity.
Do I have to register for all three weeks?
No – signing up for all three weeks is the best value, but 1- and 2-week options are available as well.
3 Weeks: $1200 (+$30 registration fee)
2 Weeks: $890 (+$30 registration fee)
1 Week: $445 (+$30 registration fee)
Early Morning Drop-Off (7:30 am): $75 week
Afternoon Adventures at the Y (12:30-4:30 pm): $290 per week ($255 per week for YMCA Full Memebers). Extended care past 4:30 is available directly through the YMCA. Afternoon portion billed directly by YMCA.

The registration fee will be waived for current Music Studio students.

Young Explorers
Ages 4-6 (entering Junior K – 1st Grade)
Ignite your young one’s imagination with this inspiring introduction to the arts! Explore music (general and instrumental), visual arts and crafts, creative movement, and the joy of reading.

Elementary Artists
Ages 7-10 (entering 2nd – 5th Grade)
Capture your child’s creativity with our well-rounded and in-depth arts curriculum for elementary age students. The morning is divided into three classes in which students will explore visual arts, creative movement and instrumental music.

Virtuoso Chamber Music Camp
Ages 8-18 (entering 3rd – 12th Grade)
The crown jewel of the Summer Arts Workshop, the Virtuoso Chamber Camp is a fully immersive musical experience for intermediate and advanced instrumentalists. Coached by master teachers, students will expand their performing skills by studying chamber music in small ensembles, brushing up on music theory and sight-reading, and exploring music history. There will be a performance on the last day of camp. Check the full camp brochure for accepted instruments and participation requirements.

Jam-A-Rama – Call first for availability!
Ages 11-18 (entering 6th – 12th Grade)
Finally, you can say it: “I’m with the band!” If you’re a teen who’s into playing rock, pop and/or jazz and want to do improv as well, this camp is for you. New this Year – You’ll get recorded and learn to record in the new state of the art NJWA Music Production studio! This opens up opportunities for different levels and types of instrumentalists and vocalists.
