The ensemble is led by Kaitlyn Killeen, Assistant Director of NJWA's former flute ensemble, the Fluteketeers. Ms. Killeen has played flute for 13 years and has been a member of ensembles including the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Wind Ensemble and the Susquehanna University Symphonic Band, Orchestra and Flute Ensemble.
Requirements
Students must have at least one year of experience on flute and should be prepared to play C major, F major, B♭ major, G major and D major scales along with a two-octave chromatic scale. The audition is informal and simply determines the skills of participants; students with a recommendation from a school or private teacher may not need to audition at all.
Photographs and/or videos of participants in this program may be used in publicly released media such as websites, social media, advertisements, brochures and posters. Parents and guardians must notify NJWA in writing if they do not consent to these uses of photos or videos of their children.
