For more than fifty years NJWA teaching artists have worked outside our Westfield building — in classrooms, VA medical centers, town parks, library meeting rooms and senior communities. Tell us who you serve and we will build the program around your space, your schedule and your budget.
Schools
Classroom residencies, assemblies, after-school ensembles and family performance nights for pre-K through grade 12.
Veterans and the VA
Live music, group sessions and therapeutic performance for veterans in VA medical centers, clinics and veteran housing.
Municipalities
Concerts in the park, holiday markets, recreation-department classes and town celebrations staffed by our teaching artists.
Libraries
Story-and-song hours, instrument petting zoos, teen workshops and afternoon recitals in your meeting room.
Senior and care communities
Recurring concerts, sing-alongs and small-group music sessions for independent living, assisted living and memory care.
Community organizations
Houses of worship, service clubs, nonprofits and civic groups looking for performances, workshops or a shared arts program.
How a partnership comes together

- 2. We propose a format, the teaching artists and a cost.
- 3. We look together at grants, sponsorship and subsidy options.
- 4. We run the program and report back on how it went.
