Camp schedule
All camps run from 8:30am to 12:30pm, July 6 – July 24, 2026, at Edison Intermediate School in Westfield, NJ.
Early morning and afternoon options
Yes — we offer an early drop-off at 7:30am ($125 per week), and the Westfield YMCA provides afternoon wrap-around care as a separate charge. YMCA registration and pricing information is provided after you register for the morning with us.
Do I have to register for all three weeks?
No. Signing up for all three weeks is the best value, but one- and two-week options are available.
Early registration pricing
- 3 weeks: $1,260 (+ $35 registration fee)
- 2 weeks: $935 (+ $35 registration fee)
- 1 week: $470 (+ $35 registration fee)
- Early morning drop-off (7:30am): $125 per week
The registration fee is waived for current Music Studio students.
Choose from four day camp options
Young Explorers
Ages 4-6 (entering Junior K – 1st grade)
An inspiring introduction to the arts: general and instrumental music, visual arts and crafts, creative movement and the joy of reading.
Elementary Artists
Ages 7-10 (entering 2nd – 5th grade)
A well-rounded, in-depth arts curriculum. The morning is divided into three classes exploring visual arts, creative movement and instrumental music.
Virtuoso Chamber Music Camp
Ages 8-18 (entering 3rd – 12th grade)
The crown jewel of the Summer Arts Workshop: a fully immersive experience for intermediate and advanced instrumentalists, coached by master teachers, with music theory, sight-reading, music history and a performance on the last day. Check the camp brochure for accepted instruments and participation requirements.
Jam-A-Rama — call first for availability
Ages 11-18 (entering 6th – 12th grade)
For teens who play rock, pop or jazz and want to improvise. Campers get recorded and learn to record in the NJWA music production studio.
Photographs and/or videos of Summer Arts Workshop participants may be used in publicly released media such as websites, social media, advertisements, brochures and posters. Parents and guardians must notify NJWA in writing if they do not consent to these uses of photos or videos of their children.
