Where the ensemble has played
The Alphorn Ensemble has performed throughout New Jersey at arts festivals and community events, including the NJ State German Festival at the PNC Bank Arts Center, the Rutgers University Folk Festival, community arts festivals, the international Plainfield and Kenilworth festivals, the Westfield and Cranford spring and fall festivals, and numerous arts and crafts fairs — as well as on international tour in Switzerland. The group opened a pre-concert performance for the Westfield Symphony Orchestra's "Alpine Peaks," appeared on the Food Network show "Food 911," and led a beginners' alphorn workshop at the Clark German Club.

The ensemble has played Saturday afternoons in December at the corner of Elm and East Broad Streets in Westfield, outdoors, sponsored by the Downtown Westfield Corporation.
Welcoming the first solar airplane to JFK
Three members of the ensemble — Ted Schlosberg, Martina Struck and Bill Carter — welcomed the first solar-powered airplane, the Solar Impulse, to hangar 19 at New York's JFK airport in July 2013. Invited by the Consulate General of Switzerland, they opened the ceremony with the Olympic Fanfare and played a range of alphorn selections.
